There was general consensus that our voice reflects our psychological state characterized and some personality traits. The voice is the tool of excellence for verbal communication. For teachers, the voice is the main instrument of work, it allows them to transmit knowledge, being of great importance in the teaching-learning process. When used improperly, the voice can lead to major damage to the quality of work and the level of serious health consequences. The importance of these problems can be proven when related healthcare vocal teachers practice and the prevalence of vocal abuse and misuse. This study aimed, detect these abuses and misuses vocal teachers and help us nderstand the importance of promoting good vocal habits in order to prevent serious problems in the context of learning. We ponder quasi-experimental study with two phases, pre and post test, with a non-random sample, subject to intervention (training). Consisted of 30 participants, with most ages range between 31 and 40 years, as a profession, teacher / the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. These professionals have about 6 to 10 years of service. To collect data from the sample were selected with the following tools: Questionnaire initial care and knowledge and vocals Questionnaire revaluation - Knowledge and vocal habits after training. We conclude that although no pathology on most vocal participants, teachers have constant vocal abuse and misuse. Training is an important tool for these professionals, there should be training bases of voice professionals.
