Abstract
Although the dispute surrounding the installation of the New Lisbon Airport dates back to the last century, its construction became the subject of controversy after the intervention of certain municipalities obstructed its development in Montijo, so much so that it led to legislative amendments regarding their consultive role in procedures related to airport construction, modification, or expansion. This dissertation aims to analyse the manifestations of local authority in procedures concerning the construction of national civil aerodromes, with a particular focus on airport construction, as well as the suitability of the recent legislative changes implemented, considering the principles of the unitary State and local autonomy.| Date of Award | 26 Jul 2024 |
