This work corresponds to a master’s dissertation presented to the Portuguese Catholic University, Faculty of Education and Psychology to obtain a Master's degree in Educational Sciences - Specialization in Social Pedagogy. It is entitled "Socio-pedagogical Intervention and Homeless People - Paths to Inclusion (A Case Study)". With this research, we wanted to understand to what extent inclusion strategies for homeless people include socio-pedagogical intervention practices and what role social educators play in developing these practices. This study arose from personal and academic concerns and from the fact that there was little scientific information on this phenomenon, especially from the perspective of Social Pedagogy, i.e., a positive view of people and their possibilities for learning and evolving. From a methodological point of view, we opted for a case study, based on a socio-educational institution located in the north of Portugal, using documentary research and direct questioning of actors through semi-structured interviews. Overall, the study concluded that social educators make a difference, highlighting the relevance of socio-pedagogical intervention.
