The purpose of this report is to present a descriptive, analytical and critical way, the route for the necessary nursing acquiring skills, in two internship contexts of 2013. These were made during the Masters in Nursing Mental Health Specialization of the Catholic University of Portugal. The internship took place on two different places: the Child Psychiatry Unit of the Hospital D. Estefânia – Lisbon; and the other one in the Youth People Care Center (CAJ), Sorri Jovem, belonging to the Health Center Mem Martins, Sintra Municipality. The two programs were focused on mental health promotion, prevention, diagnosis and intervention consequent to lower or inadequate responses during the adolescence transition process, which could cause suffering, alteration or mental illness. For these two programs were defined clear objectives were defined for which nursing interventions are planned, offered health gains for adolescents. Inside the Child psychiatry unit took place the daily activities in a psychotherapeutic context. It was hold a Cineterapia session and a Biblioterapia session. Furthermore it was conducted a case study of a young bullying victim with a suicide attempt, and was done an analytical study of a descriptive statement of Nursing Quality Standards: the organization of nursing care.At the Sorri Jovem, it were created psycho-educational spaces, with an emphasis on personal skills, group dynamics were held to promote Mental Health and Nursing Consultation were conducted associated to a study of the diagnoses and nursing common interventions.
