In the context of parenting interventions is urgent (re) thinking methodologies and practices to develop answers that can meet the needs of families. We aim with the present work to analyze how the involvement of professionals, affects the adhesion of multichallenged families, not voluntary, in the context of poverty, development programs for parenting skills. In the first phase of this exploratory study, we conducted two focus groups with 11 professionals that work with multichallenged families not voluntary. In the second phase we performed five semi-structured interviews with mothers from families that already have participated in interventions to promote parenting, some voluntarily other involuntarily. The script built for the interviews followed the guidelines of appreciative inquiry. The data were analyzed according to Grounded Theory methodology using the program Nvivo8, it was concluded that: firstly refer to the professionals, their relationship with their families is important to membership of these interventions, the element of interventions most valued by the participants of the families are the professionals and their ability to "listen." The "success factors", referenced by the technicians are "institutional partnership", while for the group of participants from the families the benefits of households 'interventions' are linked to the "self - knowledge" and "conflict management". The big challenge, pointed out by professionals, and that goes against the literature in this type of intervention is the ―adhesion ". The participating mothers refer to "sharing," "self-knowledge" and "listening" (by the professionals) as factors that promote participation in these interventions. The involuntary appears in technical referred to as "mandatory," while for the participants of the families is associated to the "pressure for change."
