“Liminal Village – Boom Festival’s Cultural Area” is the Internship Report developed by Rita Carreiras, in the context of the Master’s Degree in Creative Industries Management, at the School of Arts of the Catholic University of Portugal. The internship is hosted by Good Mood Eco & Art Org, the organization of Boom Festival – a psychedelic culture event in Idanha-a-Nova (Portugal), focused on music, arts, and sustainability (Boom Festival, 2022). The internship is carried out in 2022 within the festival’s cultural area, Liminal Village. This area presents itself as a global educational space with lectures, workshops, and panel discussions (Boom Festival, 2004, pp. 4-5). This internship involved activities of assistance in the curation and production of this area. This work is further explored through the research about the evolution of Liminal Village; there is a compilation of internal data and references about the area’s context since its origin. From this research, the report compiles references on the conception and development process of Liminal Village, between 2000 and 2022, as well as presents the programs of lectures, workshops, and discussion panels during the eleven editions. The work presented portrays Liminal Village as a global platform for ideas and concepts (Boom Festival, 2008), created, since its inception, as a space for reflection about fields of human thought and development (Boom Festival, 2000).
