LSMQ CFI (questionário de literacia em saúde mental para cuidadores formais de pessoas idosas)

: estudo preliminar das características psicométricas

Abstract

The present study, which is part of the "Expanding Mental Health" project, had the main purpose of preliminarily studying the psychometric characteristics of the LSMq CFI. The questionnaire is composed of 110 items, structured in two sections ¬ Caregiver Section (58 items) and Elderly Section (52 items). The exploratory study included a sample of 42 formal caregivers, who were performing their functions in ERPI, DC and/or SAD. After preliminary data analysis, the results show a balanced frequency of answers in most items of the questionnaire, a good internal consistency of the scales, having also been identified a positive correlation, of high magnitude and significant between the total scores of the sections of the LSMq CFI and between these and the different subscales of the LSMq SVa. The development of this instrument will allow for the identification of mental health literacy needs specific to this target audience, enabling the development of promotion and intervention programs adapted to formal caregivers of the elderly.
