Abstract

Regarding the current educational context of initial training in music education and the teaching/learning process, specifically focusing on the initial phase of teaching oboe instrument, this research aims to create and compile a series of exercises that can be useful and a technical and musical tool for better resolution of specific difficulties in learning this instrument. Through an analysis of a well-structured compilation methods, exercises and studies for oboe, the teacher can choose the exercises in a more simple and effective way, not being so subject to time pressure finding the ideal method. This issue meant to be investigated through a content analysis methodology of primary sources, in particular the learning methods for teaching the instrument, and foreseeing the contribution and influence on the concept of the instrument’s teacher, a possible "teacher-creator" and its teaching materials on a technical/musical viewpoint. The empirical part includes the content analysis of the interview survey technique to several teachers of the specific study subject. On the study were identified some of the most common difficulties on the initiation of the oboe, the results of qualitative analysis were included in the conclusions and taken into account in preparing the diary of practical exercicses. As more specific didactic contribution and applied, will be finally presented a proposal for progressive method for oboe teaching in first grade, that will present technical and musical exercises called "Diary Notebook of Practical Exercises".
