: anúncio, desafio e serviço : ação missionária da Sociedade Missionária da Boa Nova em Angola : 1970-2020

Abstract

The work in addressing the mission Ad gentes, contextualizes it to the missionary activities carried out by the missionaries of the Missionary Society of Boa Nova in Angola (1970-2020), highlighting the dimensions of proclamation, challenge and service as unavoidable means on which missionaries mentioned had to run to be preachers of the Gospel in the lands of Angola, in order to make the God´s Kingdom present. If we take into consideration the historical period in which they set out in a mission to Angola – the process of decolonization, followed by civil war – we can easily understand the audacity and courage they tolk by making such a decision; a decision that we read as the fruit of ardent charity to the Church and to the Angolan people, which comes from the Christian desire of makig presente God´s Kingdom everywhere. These missionary brothers of ours, for the love of God, the Church and the Angolan brothers, they crossed their geographical and cultural borders and left the comfort they were used to, to be messengers of the Good News, in a foreign land, exposing themselves to challenges of various levels (diseases, war, persecution, famine…).
