Abstract

The organizations of nowadays are involved in a more dynamic environment and in constant change. So, it is necessary to adapt to the new conditions. With the technologic evolution, which occurs almost in all sectors of activity, the major part of workers is confronted, in some time of their professional activity, with the introduction of changes in their work post, changes that they will have to deal with. The organizational change influences either the company, either the worker; this study aims to make an assessment to the changes occurred in an organization situated in Portugal, without forgetting the specificities of this tangible reality. The methodology assumed is the Case Study, analysis in parallel with Work Psychology, in the sense that it recognizes the workers experience as its main concern and capital. In this way, the main purpose of the field study was to understand how workers cope with organizational change. Questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were used to address this goal. The findings demonstrated that workers weren’t listened as far as organizational change plan concerns.
