Today’s organizations are more receptive and open to internal changes. However, the management of different sensibilities and interests is still a challenge to organizations facing change processes. Therefore, it is important to better understand the influence of employees on the organizational change management processes. Specially, by understanding how the employees’ commitment can affect their own perception of the change. This dissertation aims to (a) understand the employee’s commitment focus during a planned organizational change process and (b) understand the employee’s main resistance factors to a planned organizational change process. These research goals were tested through a qualitative study, supported on semi-structured interviews to 8 employees. The organization study in this research was facing an internal planed change process - case study. The results obtained showed that, during the change process, these employees were more focus on the organizational change management process (i.e., communication and monitoring) than on the individual factors (i.e., resistance). These results might be explained by the strong commitment of the employees, which are based on the good relationship with the work team. Although they point clear issues regarding the change process implementation, their employment relation makes them feel that they are influencing the fate of the organization, and living in a positive environment of constant change.
