Abstract

The present investigation seeks, on the one hand, to understand the life trajectories of female ex-inmates for crimes related to drug trafficking while on the other hand, to identify the consequences of imprisonment in their life trajectories. The research is based on the assumption that risk pathways influence the entry of these women into crime and we try to analyze these pathways throughout different times in these women's lives, when
they opted for entry into the crime of drug trafficking
We also aim to contribute with some kind of support for the planning of prevention strategies and rethink the policies and/or interventions carried out with these women, with the aim of social reintegration.
At the same time, we sought to identify the transformations triggered by the prison experience and study these trajectories that led these women to prison, outlining the factors and/or elements that led them to commit the crime of drug trafficking, based on the women's discourse.
The pandemic generated by SARS2-Covid 19 prevented access to the field and
created several constraints in the data collection process, which conditioned the design of the research and the results obtained, resulting in several limitations.
