Abstract
This Reflective report has the main objective to present a critical outline that, although too general and limited, can contribute to a more systematic understanding about the school clusters issues, believing that this situation we are in now, can be a booster to a better awareness of studying the school importance, while organizational unit, as a way of pressure to change present education path.From my professional background summary and having in mind the role I played in the School Cluster of Póvoa de Lanhoso development process and the impact, in my journey, that this organizational units leading experience, created by government order, I analyze the process implementation as a whole first, and then into a more detailed study, though incomplete, of the establishment and function of the Gonçalo Sampaio, Vertical Group of Schools.
The reflection is directed to facilitate a literature review and legislative supports produced on the redefinition of the school network and the first approach to Schools Clusters, for a better contextualization of the implementation process in Póvoa de Lanhoso municipality and more specifically, School EB2,3 Professor Gonçalo Sampaio. Revisits the evolution of school system until the implementation of school clusters, referring to the several organizational models that preceded them, and the evolution of county education until the entry of school clusters. The issue under consideration is followed by the survey of the main potentials and constraints experienced with the beginning of Organizational Units in study. The Reflective Report ends with the
presentation of one of the most remarkable experiences in Gonçalo Sampaio Group of Schools developing, with the highlighting intention of added value that the schools cluster can be, if built with a suitable size for the development of an Educational Project to respond effectively to school community real needs.
