The literature has pointed to the relevance of exploring a relationship between music and well-being, considering that it has been the subject of great attention for several decades and, consequently, has shown to be dotted with some complexity and challenge with regard to understanding certain mechanisms and phenomena. However, some domains are better handled than others. The present study consists in deepening the understanding of the influence of music on the various dimensions of subjective well-being, from the exploration of different components of the musical experience, and how these results can be displayed in a diversified way when related to the predictive role of music, regarding active involvement (“practitioners”) or passive involvement (“listeners”).
