Population aging in contemporary society is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Ageing corresponds to a complex, multidetermined, predictable, and inevitable process that, depends on multiple factors. Elderly without autonomy to carry out basic activities of daily living, and who remain alone in their homes, even if only for part of their day, may be vulnerable to various risk situations (for example, going out and getting lost, inadequate food and hygiene). The day center appears as a response that provides technical and personalized support to the older people, satisfying their needs. However, what the elderly person considers to be their needs, may be different from the considerations of their family members or members of the day center team, wish may cause constraints to the intervention performed. This study aims to identify the needs of the elderly that have led them to look for the day center, as well as whether the day center responds to the needs. The sample consists of six participants, including two elderly people who attend a day center, two family members of elderly people who attend a day center, and two technicians who work in a day center. The interview guide was used to conduct semi-structured interviews for data collection. The analysis of qualitative data was performed using the MaxQDA2018 software, using thematic data analysis. The results revealed the existence of agreement among the participants regarding the needs felt by the elderly prior their enterance at the day center, and indicate an improvement in the general well-being the after admission in this facility. The perception of the stakeholders in relation to the functioning and impact of the day center on the elderly person's life is very positive, indicating that the needs previously felt were generally satisfied, and that the aging process is lived in a more satisfying way by all.
