This study aims to explore the needs of parents of children admitted to the Paediatric Rehabilitation Service Development at the Center for Medical Rehabilitation Alcoitão. This study aims to serve as a basis for the future implementation of a partnership model of care, inserted in the philosophy of family-centered care, as well as contribute to the quality of care in this service. On this basis, a study of quantitative descriptive exploratory, using the questionnaire application Needs Parents Questionnaire (NPQ) which assesses needs: trust, feel that they trust you, information, support and guidance, physical and human resources and needs concerning children and other family members, and relate them to the sociodemographic characteristics and hospitalization. For data collection we used a non-probability sample, intentional or convenience of 31 parents to whom the questionnaires were administered after the completion of a pre-test, which showed no problems. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis technique. We conclude that the size scale of importance that parents valued most was the "Necessity of Trust" (mean = 99.35) and the least appreciated was the "Need for Human and Physical Resources" (mean=80.77). Parents of children with motor neurone disease are more satisfied with the size "Need for trust" (mean = 93.22) and least satisfied with "Need for Human and Physical Resources" (mean=59,63). Parents of children with neuromotor disorder feel they should be more independent of the "Need Information" (mean=81.93) and the "Necessity of Trust" (mean=80.64). Content analysis revealed three categories: human resources, logistical conditions for parents, and information and communication needs strengthening in the questionnaire.
