This report is part of the 15th Master's Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing for Critically Patients of Institute of Health Sciences- Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. The activities in clinical teaching correspond to two distinct curricular units which took place between 2nd May and 25th June and 5th September and 17th December 2022. The internships were developed in the nephrology service, (dialysis unit); -in the emergency department and in a multipurpose intensive care unit of a central hospital in the city of Porto. During the period developed in clinical teaching, activities were developed with a view to achieve the objectives, previously outlined in the internship project, for the acquisition of common and specific skills of the specialist nurse in Medical Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing for the Person in Critical Situation, based on the four domains established by the Order of Nurses. The contribution for each context was to identify problems, each one being further studied and after analyzing the selected evidence, proposals were presented, consisting of strategies, with the aim of improving and promoting the provision of quality care.
