Abstract
This report consists of a synthesis of the internship carried out at the studio of the visual artist Killa Was Here, within the scope of the Master’s in Management of the Creative Industries at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. The internship lasted for 27 weeks and focused on the development of various activities, including support for creation, production, management, and media advisory. Beyond the description of the actions undertaken, this report delves into a reflection aimed at understanding and problematizing the self-taught artist in the contemporary art market, the artistic legitimation process, which included an analysis of the context in which the artist Killa Was Here and his works are validated. The conception of the artist as a brand in the creative industries was also explored, through an analysis related to the construction of their visual identity.| Date of Award | 23 Jan 2024 |
