The present work constitutes a master's internship report, which culminates as the last stage of the training process of the Master in Nursing with Specialization in Medical Surgical Nursing: Person in Critical Situation, from the Institute of Health Sciences, Catholic University of Portugal. It is an expository work of a critical and reflective nature about the experiences and learning acquired throughout the internship contexts, that enabled the acquisition of specialist nurse skills. The areas where specialized nursing care was developed during the internship were a cardiac intensive care unit and a medical emergency and resuscitation vehicle. The master's student had as a guiding premise of all the work the comfort phenomenon, phenomenon that was investigated and comforting care, implemented as a comfort promoting strategy. During the internship in an emergency and resuscitation medical vehicle, it contributed to in-service training through the presentation of training on intraosseous venous accesses. This report is thus the consolidation of a training process for personal and professional growth, which was developed according to evidence-based practice, with primacy for knowing how to be, knowing how to be and knowing how to do in nursing in the care of the person in critical situation and their family. With a view to the quality of care, the safety of care and its humanization, respecting beliefs, values and principles of the user and their target family.
