This report was developed within the scope of the curricular units of Professional Practice I and Professional Practice II, part of the master’s in music teaching at the Catholic University of Portugal - Porto. The report is divided into two different parts: the first part reflects the learning achieved in the areas of instrument-singing (M26) and ensemble class (M32), resulting from the Professional Practice (PP) that was carried out during the school year of 2022-23, while the second part presents the Pedagogical Intervention Project (PIP). The supervised teaching practice was carried out in the Silva Monteiro Music Course (CMSM), under the scientific guidance of Professor Cesário Costa and the cooperating supervisors: Andreia Volta e Sousa, teacher of the subject of ensemble-chorus class, and Sara Braga Simões, teacher of the subject of singing. The pedagogical intervention project, attached to the theme "the contribution of improvisation as a pedagogical practice in collective choir classes in the beginning course and basic music course", adopted a qualitative methodology - Action-Research (A-R). The data collection techniques implemented were direct observation, questionnaire surveys, field notes recorded in a logbook, structured interview, and video recordings. The project was developed with the participation of a class from the music initiation course and a class from the basic course of EMGS and a class from the basic course of CMSM. The results obtained showed a positive contribution in the collective choir classes, which contributed to a significant increase in the students' participation, in their predisposition to sing in class and in performances with the public and reveals to be an object of future works.
