Foreseeing the procedural way of students with special educational needs in mainstream education, particularly students with multiple disabilities, this study aims to identify the importance and contribution, made by the skilled labor in developed Specialized Support Units for multiple disabilities and Congenital Deaf blindness, for the inclusion of students with their peers and community. The present study focus on the inclusion of students with multiple disabilities, having as a contribution the frequency of UEAM and asks whether the performance of teachers and technicians who work with them are facilitators, as well as the importance of Guardians participation throughout this process and in particular, in connection with School social inclusion and collaboration. Through a qualitative study in which interviews were conducted with all teachers, Technicians and four representatives of Guardians of the four UEAM in the District of Guarda central region, including the Group of Schools of CB, Guarda, Pinhel and Seia. The conclusions draw from this study reveal that UEAM act as an educational resource. However, it is noteworthy that it should invest more in the outputs to the community and in organizing the transition between cycles. It can not be forgotten the proximity of the situations of transition to life after school, in which one must invest to be successful. However, it is important to note the team work, known in all UEAM, and that it results in a gain on empowerment and inclusion of students with multiple disabilities.
