This report, prepared within the scope of the Master’s degree in Music Education at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, is divided into two sections. The first part contains a detailed description of the Professional Practice carried out at Escola Artística do Conservatório Nacional during the academic year 2022/2023. The areas of specialization were Violin and Ensemble, under the pedagogical guidance of Professor Sara Llano. The second part relates to the Pedagogical Research Project, which had the theme “O Contributo de exercícios de Yoga no controlo da ansiedade na performance do violino”. This research aimed to understand the relationship between yoga techniques and anxiety in the process of learning the violin. The methodology was applied to 4 students from elementary to high school, in an action research that showed very positive results in all participating students, revealing that the practice of Yoga, specifically postural and relaxation exercises, can effectively help control anxiety. In just 5 sessions, the students noticed differences in ergonomics and a decrease in anxiety symptoms, feeling calmer and more confident in their performance. It is worth noting that 50% of the participants mentioned the importance of Yoga as a possible discipline in music.
