The demands of the professional world have significantly increased in the last few decades, making it increasingly difficult for many employees to find a suitable balance between their professional and family lives. For this reason, teleworking has been progressively used as a facilitator of the reconciliation between work and family life for individuals. However, teleworking can also represent a challenge for employees in that it makes it difficult to distinguish between work and family. In this sense, the present study aims to understand to what extent teleworking contributes to the reconciliation between work and family life. This study is a qualitative meta-analysis that identifies, interprets and analyzes the results of investigations carried out on the subject in the last five years. The meta-analysis was conducted from a sample of 33 articles, which were examined using the content analysis method. The results indicate that teleworking has implications for organizational change, individual flexibility, well-being and technostress at work. Additionally, it can contribute positively or negatively to the reconciliation between work and family life, depending on factors such as work-family boundaries, gender, parenthood, organizational support, and the individuals' work feelings. Finally, the results suggest that Human Resource Management has a crucial role in implementing policies that facilitate the reconciliation of teleworkers' work and family lives.
