O crescimento pessoal e profissional

Abstract

The report is a global appreciation on the lived and reflected experiences during the periods of training realized in the Hospital de S. João Urgency Service, in the Centro Hospitalar de Vila Nova de Gaia/Espinho Intermediate Cares Unit and in the Hospital of Valongo Convalescence Unit, during the period of 19/04/2010 to 29/01/2011. Its purpose refers the intention to give visibility to the development of abilities obtained in the advanced assistance to the adult sick person with illness, in the área of Surgical Medical Nursing. It always tells the performance in front of the urgent, critical sick person and in process of rehabilitation, having in account the three domains: cares rendered, Formation and Management. In each one of them, it was underlying the identification of problems, the identification of strategies, some suggested and others implemented, and the adequacy of inherent behaviors to the relationship between the ill person and the family. Relatively to the cares rendered, I privileged the therapeutical relation with the sick person and family, the development of relationary abilities and of communication with the multidisciplinary group, the adequacy of some work methods and still the acquisition of new knowledge having always in account the auto-learning and the personal development. As to formation, boarding essentially the contributes left in each service, the infection prevention with the accomplishment of some posters and shares of sensitization, the work formation on the agonizing sick person and the development of a document about the hemoculture, passing for the necessities of the familiar carer to the development of an Emergency Manual. About Management, I describe only the methodologies perceived throughout the period of training. The share of experiences and the support of the several nursing teams, as well as all the people who orientates, had become vitals for the acquisition and development of the abilities for a Nurse Specialist. The period of training showed an experience sufficiently advantageous that promoted my autonomous performance in the quality of the specialized cares given to the sick people and, this way, it was possible to reach successfully all the objectives.
