We recognize, value and emphasize manual drawing as an essential instrument and tool in the teaching of visual arts. But can digital drawing, as an instrument, potentiate the apprenticeship and introduce improvements in education? This report aims to address the importance of the introduction of digital design in teaching visual arts programs with the use of Multimedia players and develop projects that demonstrate their potential. The computer has become increasingly a working tool and it is vital that students find in it a way and mean to integrate and respond to the demands of society. It is intended, through the projects developed, that students gain a practical tool that can contribute to an improvement in the teaching / learning process and, at the same time, that can give them tools and abilities to help them as professionals in the future. All projects developed, being practical, allowed the study and observation of students' interaction with digital media and, more specifically, with the digital design. There were also described strategies, results and conclusions of all projects, always referring to difficulties experienced and the prospects for future use.
