Abstract

The report is an overall assessment of the experiences lived and reflected during the internship. In this there were two modules, Module III - Pre-hospital Care and module I - Emergency Service, both on Braga Hospital. Its main purpose will be reports intended to give visibility to the development of advanced skills achieved in the adult patient care in the area of Medical-surgical nursing, and lead to the degree of Master. The methodology is based on the descriptive and reflective method, and structurally, given the various fields of competence to acquire / develop, are given the powers proposed by the study plan of the course and described the activities undertaken to achieve them, through a personal critical analysis- reflective, based on bibliographic referencing, which stimulated critical thinking through the educational process and my personal and professional development. Describes the process of teaching / learning as a strategy for skills development. Activities will be targeted lists adult and family, acting in accordance with the ethics and professional deontology, evaluating, adapting and applying different methods to analyze complex situations. Exposes the importance of practice based on evidence, by analyzing the protocols, standards and procedures in order to verify its scientific validation, making suggestions for changes and possible implementation, promoting excellence of care. Reports activities targeted to the general public, promoting the transfer of knowledge and techniques, seen as an educational function at the level of the overall development process, and leaves the host prepared a guide to the patient / family as a real contribution to the emergency department of Hospital de Braga. The completion of this stage contributed to my personal and professional development, allowing experience different realities acquire or develop knowledge, allowing acquisition of specific expertise in the area of medical-surgical nursing.
