This report demonstrates the skills acquired in the activities developed along this path, in four different contexts of clinical education: The Urgent Care Service for Adults, the Intensive Care Unit, the Operating Room and the Hemodynamics Service. These internships are part of the Master's Degree in Nursing in the Specialty in Medical and Surgical Nursing, with the aim of developing skills as a specialist nurse and a master in approaching patients in critical situations; as a transversal objective to the internships, I developed skills in humor as a nursing intervention strategy. Through a literature review and fulfilling the duty of excellence in professional practice, according to the Code of Ethics for nurses, I reflected and acquired scientific knowledge on the theme I chose, Humor as a nursing intervention strategy, with the following question: "Is the intervention of humor a positive, negative Outcome or can it have both sides?" In the report, prepared under the guidance of Ms. Professor Mestre Lurdes Martins, the main objective is to briefly present activities developed within the scope of acquiring specialist and master skills. I will start by taking an approach to the person / family in a critical situation, then presenting the internship locations, the general and specific objectives that I set out to achieve and what knowledge I acquired and / or developed in the different internships. I have a personal and professional interest in the topic of humor as an intervention strategy in health care because it awakens me some concern and curiosity in its application, involving particularities and creating a differentiation in the nursing care that I explored and developed through the realization of a scientific article that is submitted for publication. In the end, I present a conclusion where I reflect the results and the implications that the experiences experienced have in my professional future, as well as the implication that the use of humor has in nursing care and in the relationship between nurse and patient.
