This study analyses the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) on trend forecasting in luxury fashion, particularly in the clothing sector. The aim of this research was to understand how AI is transforming the process of anticipating trends through the application of technological tools, taking into account the ethical challenges that arise in its application. The research uses a mixed methodology, having carried out surveys, with a sample of 208 responses (of which 120 were validated), and interviews with five experts in the fields of fashion and technology. The results show that AI has been playing a key role in several areas common to AI and luxury fashion, but that it is still a growing area, particularly in trend forecasting. Ethical concerns are relevant, especially around privacy, authorship and transparency. Despite these challenges, AI has proved to be an effective tool, offering new perspectives on the intersection between technology and luxury fashion.
