O impacto das úlceras por pressão na qualidade de vida da pessoa

Abstract

This report is part of specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Professional Nature Masters Course 2013/2015, the Instituto de Ciencias da Saúde, of the Portuguese Catholic University of Lisbon. It is through him that I will describe and reflect on the journey undertaken in order to develop the skills needed to nurse profile specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing. The stage was composed of three modules, performed in the following chronological order: Intermediate Unit and Intensive Care (Hospital Beatriz Angelo) in the period from 28 April 2014 to 21 June 2014 emergency service (Hospital Beatriz Angelo) during the period September 8, 2014 to November 2 2014, and finally the Local Coordination Group – Program of Prevention and Control of infection and Antimicrobial resistance (Hospital Santa Marta) at 3 in the period November 2014 to December 20, 2014. In this report, I will describe, analyze, and reflect on the events during these three modules, demonstrating my skills development reached in each context. I will also raise awareness of the objectives outlined for each training area in order to achieve the fundamental skills of specialist nurses in medical-surgical nursing. The research developed over the three modules relates to the theme of pressure ulcers because they are a problem we face every day in our practice and an indicator of the quality of nursing care. The work over the three-stage modules contributed unequivocally to my personal and professional development through the development of skills of the nurse within the specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing.
