This internship report aims to give an overview on the activities carried out between January and June 2023 at the artist agency Studio 112, in Paris. The profession of artist agent is still relatively unknown. The public, in general, is either unaware of its existence or does not have a clear idea of the activities carried out. The agent manages the artist’s career by establishing a strategy with clear objectives. The agent’s role focuses on supporting the artist in several areas: negotiation of contracts, verification of payments and commercial prospecting. The focal point of the profession is the agent’s ability to value the creative expression of the artist, finding clients who will identify with their artistic universe. Since the agency is positioned in the Creative Industries sector, we sought to study the Management Model of artist agency companies and, more specifically, the innovative Studio 112 Model. Based on this case study, we can understand the specifics of the cross-sectional follow-up that takes place at Studio 112 and the importance of the relationship between the talent and the agent. In a society increasingly absorbed by the digital world, what are the challenges for the future of artist management?
