O pátio como elemento organizador do espaço

Abstract

This work has as main goals the restructuration of an urban space gapped by the construction that didn’t consider the space connection over time. This restructuration seeks the integration of different types of people with different mobilities, reflecting on the theme of accessibility, considering that this will only exist if the whole urban area, such as buildings and their interior, roads, green spaces, among others, comply with certain requirements, not only, physical but also psychological. The proposal achieves this by undoing accessibility barriers, simplifying the space, while simultaneously making it enjoyable and desirable to be visited. The project proceeds to the integration of accessibility to such levels, both physical and psychological, both abroad, through spaces enjoyable and accessible according to the norms, as in the interior, creating simple and easily understood spaces and patios as a mean of sustainability providing natural light and ventilation, and also as a mean of inclusion of troubled people in a private and secure exterior. This way, an accessible proposal is presented taking into account that, in architecture, one is expected to consider the issue of accessibility in a broad way, creating spaces that never dissociate the standard meeting with a pleasant use. This work looks up to establish a relationship between normative accessibility an spaces that ensure comfort of the user in order to clearly demonstrate the need for a change of mindset on the accessibility topic, where the architect figure will consider accessibility not limited to ensuring access for all users, often focusing only on disabled users, but also in a perspective of universal accessibility: a comfortable, practical and accessible space for all users in all accessible aspects.
