In an environment of extreme competitiveness and unpredictability in which organisations find themselves, it is becoming increasingly important to boost their human factors and all the processes adjacent to organisational growth that contribute to a strong brand reputation in the market. There is therefore a need for Internal Communication to be increasingly present in organisational processes and as a means of strengthening the specificities of its human resources, with measures aimed at how it communicates, who it communicates to and what it communicates. To talk about communication is to talk about strategy, therefore, as a highly influential element in engagement levels as well as generating organisational happiness that stimulates and enhances the organisational relationship and the Commitment that can arise from it. Selectra, the organisation under study, is an ambitious start-up, created in 2007 and specialising in comparing and advising on electricity and gas tariffs, although it has subsequently integrated a wide range of areas which has enabled it to now have more than 1,500 employees around the world. In an organisation of this size, it is interesting to analyse how internal communication impacts organisational growth and how employees perceive the impact of their contributions and recognition as a means of developing high levels of engagement within the organisational structure. Engagement. The aim of the research is to understand how internal communication mechanisms affect the engagement of Selectra Portugal's employees. The methodology was built using a mixed approach, with exploratory data in the qualitative sphere through documentary analysis and exploratory interviews, and also to ascertain primary data through a quantitative methodology resulting from a questionnaire survey applied to employees. The main results of the research make it possible to understand the relevance of internal communication within the organisation and validate the employees' recognition of internal communication in generating engagement at Selectra Portugal.
