Today’s changing circumstances raised leadership as a prominent theme in contemporary organizations and in the academic forum. At the same time, internal communication is reconfigured in the organizational systemic structure, becoming fundamental for the sharing of meaning and creation of behavioral frameworks, aligned with the culture and values of each organization. The present dissertation seeks to understand the role of team leaders in promoting internal communication in organizations, considering as a case study the IKEA Loures store. In this context, the theoretical framework focuses on two main concepts: leadership and internal communication in organizations. The applied methodology is based on essentially qualitative techniques, namely by conducting interviews with team leaders. The research carried out allowed to confirm the both hypothesis established Team leaders take on the role as facilitators of internal day-to-day communication at work and Internal communication is a priority for team leaders on the daily basis in their job
