O perfil do docente de formação musical na iniciação musical

Abstract

This research project focus the absence of a Music Teacher profile, within the Ministry of Education, in the Musical Initiation course. Thus, the study goal was concerned about the Musical Education Teacher training for the primary school, according to the professionals involved in the teaching process, the institutions directors and the analysis of the syllabus used for the training of Music Teachers.The chosen methodology was a qualitative case study and the data selection tools were the focus group, the document analysis and the questionnaire.The results suggest the necessity to intensify the curricula of 1st and 2nd cycle of studies in the training of the Music Teacher in the areas of the didactic and pedagogical know-how, as well as the need for a strong musical practice and experience in this specific cycle of studies. This dissertation also intends to awaken and alert to the impact of formal and informal education when it concerns teachers training.
