This dissertation investigates the impact and dynamics of the Quarteirão Criativo de Bombarda, an innovative urban space in Porto, exemplifying a creative territory. The aim is to understand how the Association responsible for the Quarteirão contributes to the economic, social, urban, and cultural growth of the region, and to identify the practices and challenges associated with this transformation. The research employed qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, questionnaires, secondary data analysis, and field research. Results indicate a reasonable level of satisfaction among key beneficiaries, such as traders and workers, showing effectiveness in resource management and execution of cultural and economic programs, promoting social cohesion and local development. However, significant limitations were identified, such as restricted local recognition and limited external visibility, which impact the ability to attract support and additional resources. Additionally, financial dependency and inadequate infrastructure were noted as challenges that need addressing to ensure the sustainability of the Association and the Quarteirão Criativo. The lack of a long-term strategic plan may create uncertainties and hinder adaptation to new challenges. Three strategies were outlined—optimistic, realistic, and pessimistic—to address different future scenarios. The study also reveals that, although forums and working groups exist, their engagement is low and they may not cover all community interests. The importance of maintaining continuous contact with the community is emphasized, through annual performance and satisfaction surveys and regular open meetings. These tools are crucial for aligning the Association’s actions with the needs and expectations of residents and traders. Finally, it is recommended to explore comparisons between different creative territories, the specific social and cultural impact of these spaces, and the influence of digitalization. Practical implications include strategies to enhance the Association's performance and ensure the sustainable growth and vitality of the Quarteirão Criativo de Bombarda.
