This final work is intended to analyse on which way enrolling on a specialized temporary work experience is indeed a leap into regular employment. After an extensive review towards the literature available regarding this issue, we will explain the contours and scopes of the labour legislation concerning temporary work arrangements, as well as the advantages and disadvantages for both the company and the employee; previous studies carried out about this theme will also be taken into account, albeit those had greater focus on undifferentiated temporary work. Since this Final Work was developed in an organisational context, in order to answer its main question we collect data regarding the temporary workers of PageGroup, by exporting those from the database to Microsoft Excel, and proceed to its subsequent analysis using the Multinomial Logit Model, supported by a statistical analysis program, STATA. It was concluded that, in the specific case of PageGroup, worker’s personal characteristics and their path on the labour market may contribute to the increased probability of obtaining a regular job after an experience as temporary workers. For instance, the less the time they were unemployed before the temporary contract began and the more technical the level of education they hold, the greater the probability of having a regular job is. Finally, some clues are left for review regarding PageGroup evaluation method of their candidates, since we found some incongruences between their classification and the probability of transitioning to a permanent job.
