Abstract

The New Penal Reform of 1884 abolished the sentence of life imprisonment. However, despite being abolished, it is, unfortunately, brought to the fore by all those who defend a (supposed) humanity and dignity. What is intended is to clarify that the sentence of life imprisonment is not useful, since the criminal also has dignity, for the simple fact of being a person! Despite being tired of discussing a topic that is not a topic, it becomes urgent to bring a clear argument that it explains why it is not a topic, that it lasts in time, for that the voice of the condemned ones to prevail and for to stop using life imprisonment as a weapon in
elections and «coffee matters».
