Abstract

In this Master's Dissertation carried out within the framework of the master's degree course in Tourism, with specialization in Administration and Management, it is necessary to highlight the relevance of the theme of Tourism in Angola for scientific research and, on the other hand, the importance it reveals. For the country and in particular for the development of this sector. Thus, the literature review shows a set of ideas that supports the relevance of this same theme. The trends observed a little by all the countries of the world, translated in several indicators point in this sense reason why Angola is not exception. In world economies, inflows into and outflow of people translate into short future growth. Thus, governments begin to value the tourism sector as an economic activity and social prosperity for tourist destinations. Tourism in Angola, from 2006 to 2016, experienced a very strong development as an economic activity showing strong signs of greater prosperity and profitability, contributing, above all, to the creation of jobs and revenues for the Angolan State and for the economy. This is one of the countries whose recognition of the importance of this sector has been revealed later, and since there is little diversification of its economic fabric, with a focus on the exploitation of petroleum products, the resistance to change that is felt in the Public institutions and the persistence of uncertainty regarding the economic-institutional framework contribute to counter and delay the recognition of the importance of the Tourism sector, considering it as a minor activity for the development of Angola. This research intends to analyze the current state of tourism in Angola, using the analysis of the Tourism Master Plan in Angola (TMPA) in order to understand its potential and bets, given the current situation of the country, taking into account The public policies in accordance with the National Plans presented for the Tourism sector.
