This work is the epilogue of a training process in the area of ICT and which will culminate in a Master’s degree, after being presented and defended After a journey of two years of theoretical training and after the practise obtained through a pedagogical training in Colégio de Albergaria, to which I also had to make reference throughout this work, I decided to undertake a wider study in the area of informatics, more specifically, trying to understand what the implications of the use of tablets in the learning process are. Having this in mind, we started by developing a first theoretical part, in which we try to explain, in the first chapter, an opinion based in some bibliographic research, about what it means to be a teacher. In chapter two, we describe our practical experience during the training period in Colégio de Albergaria, under the orientation of the teacher Mafalda Castanheira. In chapter three, we present an empirical study developed in Colégio das Escravas in Porto, a case study with preschool pupils, aged between 5 and 6 years old, in which we tried to study the benefits of the use of Tablets in the learning process of this specific group. Summing up, the obtained results in our study allow us to state that children shoed interest, motivation and the needed skills for the use of tablets in a classroom context.
