O valor das artes visuais no desenvolvimento dos alunos

Abstract

Art is an element surrounding the new life upon which we are not always aware of their importance. The art is present in our lives, but to understand, we have to be educated. To this end, the Arts Education aims culminate these two valences, art and education. It is essential to understand, analyze and define the concept of arts education, such as its historical perspective in order to understand the role of Visual Education in Portugal. This research aims to understand the importance of arts education on student development at various levels. We aim, through the characterization of their case, and in the context of teaching activity, demonstrate how and to what dimensions of student development, the artistic disciplines contribute to a comprehensive development of human beings, seeking to investigate and prove the value and the benefits of Visual Education in development at various levels. Also the Professor, while educational agent, has an active and important role in relation teaching-learning, while providing multiple valences as an Educator, and should have its role well-defined in order to intervene in favor of Visual Arts beneficts to students. The study presented here aims to validate an Educational Intervention Model, based on the testimony of several authors, in the discipline of Visual Education, in order to implement various teaching strategies for benefiting development through the Visual Arts.
