The present study results of interest in obesity in adolescence, in particular, its impacton self-concept and experience of school violence, aiming to correlate the variables presented.Thus, the questionnaires administered were the socio-demographic and clinical Scale Selfconceptof Susan Harter (1986) and the Questionnaire for the Study of peer violence in the3rd cycle of basic education of Freire, Simão e Ferreira (2005), a sample of 30 obeseadolescents, attending the Functional Unit of Psychology, Hospital Santa Maria Maior inBarcelos.Regarding the results, in what concerns to self-concept, it was found that the higherthe BMI, the lower the self-concept was found also that as the victimization increases thedimensions of self-term decline, which means that children who are victims of bullying havelow self-concept. However, most of the results produced no statistically significantassociations, nor were significant differences between boys and girls.By obtaining these results, it is expected that this study may contribute to animprovement and development in terms of research in this area.
