Abstract
This thesis aims to develop a theoretical framework that supports companies in defining and implementing strategic objectives, bridging the gap between theory and practice. The research focused on analyzing two widely used models: the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Objectives and Key Results (OKR). A quantitative study was conducted through a questionnaire distributed to companies across various sectors, aiming to understand the most used methodologies, the challenges faced, and the perceived effectiveness in strategic objective management. The results show that while the BSC offers a holistic and structured approach, the OKR provides greater flexibility and adaptability. However, challenges such as a lack of alignment between departments and ineffective communication remain significant barriers to successful implementation. The conclusion drawn is that, although both methodologies are effective, the choice between them depends on the specific characteristics of each organization and its business environment.| Date of Award | 12 Dec 2024 |
