Parental communication plays a central role in the socioemotional development of young athletes, influencing their well-being, motivation, and relationship with sport. However, there is a scarcity of psychoeducational programs that systematically address this dimension in the sports context. This dissertation aimed to adapt the Pro-Interagir program to the context of youth sports, maintaining the principles of the Communication Effectiveness Model (Gomes, 2023) and integrating specific content on parental practices in sports settings. The adaptation process resulted in an intervention proposal consisting of six sessions organized into four phases: motivation, learning, automatization, and transfer, in accordance with the Life Skills Model (Resende & Gomes, 2020). The intervention seeks to promote effective and reflective communication styles, aligned with the specific challenges of parental involvement in sport. Despite the proposal’s potential, there is still no empirical evidence of its effectiveness, making future research essential. This study contributes to the development of more conscious practices in the context of youth sports and paves the way for future empirical validations of the intervention.
