Abstract

This essay concludes the Supervised Teaching Practice (SSP) carried out at Marvila Primary School, as part of the Master's Degree in Religious Sciences. It highlights the teaching of Teaching Unit 1 - "The Human Person", of the Religious Studies syllabus for the 6th grade, as a contribution to knowledge of the Human Person, promoting and defending the value of the Human Person in all its dimensions. At the same time, it aims to develop a series of recreational and educational activities and practical projects, where ethical and moral values are present, contributing to living life with meaning, starting from self-knowledge and knowledge of oneself in an integral way. In developing these activities and projects, students are confronted with their emotions and feelings, they learn to express what they feel and to value and discover their skills and weaknesses, while accepting them with serenity and inner peace. Furthermore, it also aims to be a theological, educational and biblical contribution to the value of caring for the human person. It encourages students to seek within themselves and discover their potential by, putting it to good use in defense of their own lives and those of others. Thus, considering the subject of Religious Studies a place and opportunity for growth and the development of human competences, as well as the acceptance and recognition of each person for who they are. The Preventive System of St John Bosco as an educational method aimed at Care and attention to the individuality of each being, as well as valuing what each one is capable of being and doing. Amongst various conclusions, this study confirms the relevance and value of this Teaching Unit in the light of St John Bosco's Preventive System, in the sense of caring for every human being, as it promotes student involvement and encourages them to like themselves and value their skills, by showing them that we are all important in building the common good and human happiness.
