Abstract

The main objective of this study was to study the relationship between perceived leadership and affective well-being at work in a group of GNR military personnel. Sixty-seven soldiers participated, almost all of them male, with an average age of 33.46 years (SD=6.53). A sociodemographic questionnaire, the IWP Multi-affect Indicator to assess the perception of affective well-being and the MLQ-5x to assess the perception of leadership were applied. Informed consent and the protocol were hosted on Qualtrics and were requested and completed online. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were performed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0 software. In this group of participants of the GNR military, the results indicated 1) low levels of perceived leadership; 2) average general levels in the perception of affective well-being, with higher levels in the depression dimension and lower levels in the enthusiasm dimension; and, finally; 3) a positive and significant relationship between the perception of transformational and transactional leadership and the perception of affective well-being, as well as a negative and significant relationship between the perception of-dy for the practice are related to the contribution to changing and adapting the types of leadership used by managers, emphasising the importance of continuing to study, assess and promote the well-being of the military personnel of the National Republican Guard.
