The presence of psychosocial risks at the workplace represents one of the main challenges related to occupational safety and health and has negative impact on employees’ health and well-being. The main aim of this exploratory study is to identify the psychosocial risks to which occupational health and safety technicians are exposed according to their sectors of activity in Portugal. Our sample was composed of 117 occupational health and safety technicians predominantly divided into the industry and construction sectors. They completed two assessment instruments - a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire. Results showed no differences in the perceived psychosocial risks among technicians in different sectors. However, it was possible to highlight that the Emotional Demands subscale compared to reference values for the Portuguese population, where it is considered an intermediate risk for the health of employees, these technicians perceived as a risk for the health of these professionals.
