Abstract

This investigation has dialogues as fundamental object as a mean of transmission of information or an emotion, as well its significance on the construction of the filmic narrative. One part of the study was focused on the process of sound recording, sound editing and sound mix in Cinema in the aspect of the dialogues. In the interest of the investigation, the final project was developed in parallel, based on surveys and interviews to sound engineers. The second part of the investigation was developed through interviews to neuroscience professionals, which fostered the development of intelligibility tests. The practical character of the investigation revealed itself as the most direct form of understanding and establishing a connection between the dialogs and the intelligibility field. The study regarding the sound and neuroscience areas has demonstrated to be essential to the development of this dissertation, as well as the growth of what had initially been proposed and what was arising with the evolution of academic knowledge of the student.
