Within the scope of Care Management, the strategies used in the management of human resources and the importance of leadership in the professional practice environment were identified. The Development of Professional Learning led to the deepening of knowledge in the nurses’ role in relation to people in critical situations in different contexts and to the discovery of the importance of specialized intervention. In the coronary intensive care unit, the intervention in the management and treatment of Diabetes Mellitus, using new technologies, through a training action in service, was identified as a problem-situation and opportunity for improvement. In this internship context, an integrative literature review was also carried out on the glycemic variability associated with Acute Coronary Syndrome. On the path towards the acquisition and development of specific specialized skills, knowledge was deepened on: communication techniques, approach to disasters and the practices used for the prevention and control of infection.
