In this article we proceeded to the analysis of life trajectories of foreign women, marked by circumstances of marginalization and social exclusion. The main objectives were to analyse life trajectories of foreign women in two distinct situations of deprivation of liberty - detention in the Migration Control System (SCM) and imprisonment in the Penal System (SP). Methodologically, a qualitative research was developed in order to analyse the life pathways and the meanings of these women, using in depth interviews. In these groups, we found common pathways of vulnerability, which resulted in the demand for illicit activities in search of better living conditions, including prostitution to the SCM group and crimes to the SP group, resulting in the current condition of deprivation of liberty. In the field of marginalization and exclusion, the analysed data came further confirm the stereotype, putting these women in a vulnerable position face to the integration into society.
