Abstract

Through the ages, many have been those who have dedicated their work andknowledge to the analysis of the organizations. However, the approach of the investigationpertaining to the school territory only occurred in the last decades and only then the school asan organization acquired a status of scientific reflection. Likewise, the studies on the genderquestion and above all the investigations centered in the analysis of gender in leadership lackmajor investigation, especially if we have into account the insignificant representation ofwomen in directive positions.It is in this line of investigation that we’ve tried to display a feminine look around theleadership of women pertaining to school organizations. For its hermeneutic understanding, itwas necessary to appeal to theoretical conceptions developed in this area, even though theinquiry in the domain of the leadership pertaining to school organizations has been centered inthe undifferentiation of gender. We’ve pointed some heuristic aspects considered of thegreatest importance, according to us, in the management of school organization; we’ve done aconceptual approach boarding around the leadership theories and we’ve covered the sensitive territory of the studies of gender. Afterwards, in the empirical investigation, we characterized a feminine leadership, trying to enhance aspects of gender, namely in what concerns to the rise in and style of the leadership practised. This is the result of an in-depth study based in a qualitative and quantitativemethodology and to accomplish it we’ve resorted to questionnaires by carrying out surveysand also interviews to collect data.
